A new wave of professionals joining the workforce have been dubbed as the climate career generation – and it’s easy to see why.
Amid record global temperatures and worsening climate-related disasters, people have changed jobs or sectors due to climate concerns, or plan to do so in the future.
John Marsh is a Graduate Energy Manager at ClearVUE.Business. He recently graduated with an MSc in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Technologies at Northumbria University. His journey, academic pursuits, and now, his role at ClearVUE.Business, are imbued with a commitment to actively make a climate difference.
“Climate change is a critical topic which affects us all and I believe we all have a duty to act now for ourselves and future generations – this is something I am truly passionate about,” he said.
“I have known for many years that I wanted to devote my life to mitigating climate change by utilising new and existing technologies,” he added.
John worked within ClearVUE.Business as he completed his studies, helping our engineers during installations of ClearVUE.Zero hardware to improve emissions reporting.
“My job is to ensure that all equipment is installed correctly, so that all data ClearVUE.Business provides is as accurate as possible.
“I use my electrical engineering knowledge to determine the cause of suspected issues and propose solutions for our electricians,” he said.
ClearVUE.Business allowed John to apply his passion for renewable energy throughout his work.
“Since my degrees are in renewable energy engineering, I’m glad I’m able to utilise my skills and knowledge to help businesses find renewable energy solutions.
“I am ready to apply my engineering knowledge to aid our company in proposing solutions to help our clients in their goals to achieving Net Zero.”
