What is the job about?

We are in search of an Infrastructure Engineer with a profound passion for Infrastructure-as-Code and a keen interest in staying abreast of the latest technological advancements. This role offers the opportunity to engage with multiple public cloud systems, continuous integration and delivery frameworks across various teams within the organization, and to excel in the realm of automation, thereby enhancing quality and efficiency across our entire product suite.

What exactly will you do?

  • Collaborate closely with multiple teams in maintaining development and production infrastructure environments.
  • Play a key role in technology selection, contributing your insights to help the team make informed decisions.
  • Implement and contribute to engineering practices and processes that foster innovation.
  • Develop tools for automation, reducing errors and enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Automate with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to facilitate fast, repeatable, reusable, scalable, and testable infrastructure with a focus on security and efficiency.
  • Work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to drive project success.
  • Cultivate visioning skills and the ability to comprehend the bigger picture.
  • Contribute to the microservices ecosystem by supporting the development of services.
  • Integrate and collaborate with existing IT systems to address complex business challenges.
  • Monitor and maintain networks to ensure security throughout the infrastructure.
  • Document technical issues, environments and problem solutions.
  • Knowledge sharing and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure security and compliance based on company policies and industry standards.
  • Monitoring and maintaining infrastructure.
  • Deploying and configuring infrastructure components.
  • Designing and implementing infrastructure solutions.
  • Adhere to all relevant policies and procedures.

 

What we’re looking for

  • A minimum of 4 years in a similar role within Infrastructure or DevOps.
  • Proficiency in building and managing production environments using containerization and Infrastructure-as-Code.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools, APM tools, and log aggregators like Elastic Stack, Prometheus, and Grafana.
  • Knowledge of Load Balancers, L7 proxies (nginx, haproxy, envoy), TCP/IP, routing, and Firewalling.
  • Experience with Google Cloud Services, AWS, or Azure is a plus.
  • Knowledge of maintaining databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Redis is considered an asset.
  • Good scripting skills in languages like Python, Golang or Bash.
  • Solid Linux knowledge.
