The opportunity

Your artwork will captivate and educate audiences on the importance of sustainability and mitigating the climate crisis. You will develop the overall layout and design for both print items (such as advertisements, brochures, magazines, etc) and web elements (such as infographics, banners, landing pages etc.) and animations.

What is the job about?

Your graphics should capture the attention of those who see them and communicate the messages intended. For this, you need to have a creative flair, a strong ability to translate requirements into design and a high level of flexibility to adapt to changing requirements. If you can communicate well and work methodically as part of a team, we’d like to meet you.

What exactly will you do?

  • Understanding and interpreting briefs from colleagues across the business, including senior management
  • Proficient in creating web content such as web banners, landing pages, and other digital assets.
  • Presenting draft designs to colleagues, including senior management, for feedback
  • Collaborate with creative colleagues such as copywriters, editors, and web developers
  • Ensuring that design work is aligned with other methods of communication
  • Working on a range of design pieces, from social media posts to packaging design and full-scale branding projects
  • Solving problems for the business such as helping them to communicate with their customers more efficiently
  • Understand the commercial value of graphic design
  • Attending meetings to discuss expectations and desired outcomes of design

What we’re looking for

  • Experience of designing for both web and offline
  • Understanding of the possibilities and limitations of web design
  • Extensive experience use of Adobe Creative Suite – InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • A portfolio demonstrating your range and quality of work
  • Skilled in designing new material that fits its target audience
  • Self-motivated, highly organised, and able to work to demanding deadlines
  • Ability to manage own workload including logging hours and activity on web-based project management tools

Bonus points

  • Experience in 2D animation
